gives notice that all arrangements for transportation or conveyance
and or hotel accommodation, are made by them as agents upon the express
condition that Destination Management shall not be liable for any
injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be
occasioned either by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through
the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying
the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour or otherwise
in connection therewith, or any hotel proprietor or servant.
Such conveying etc.,
is subject to the laws of the country where the conveyance etc, is
provided. DESTINATION MANAGEMENT accepts no responsibility for losses
or additional expenses due to delays or changes in train, steamer,
motor, air or other services, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine
or other causes. All losses or expenses will have to be borne by the
passenger. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from
all liability in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness
or injury however and by whomsoever caused of whatever kind occurring
of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board
a carrier or conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies
As the arrangements
represent a "complete" package, an itemisation of costs
will not be rendered or available.
Payment of a deposit
indicates your acceptance of these conditions, responsibilities and
right to amend, make variations or cancel holidays or any part thereof.
The passenger contract, booking form used shall constitute the sales
All tickets, coupons
or orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which
they are offered or supplied.
A deposit of $600 per
person must be made at the time of application for a booking. Should
the requested reservation not be available this deposit will be refunded.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT
The balance of payment
is due in the office of DESTINATION MANAGEMENT no less than 60 days
before tour departure unless otherwise specified. Failure by the passenger
to pay the balance of payment on or before the correct date may result
in the cancellation of that booking. Bookings made within the 60 days
prior to departure must be accompanied by full payment.
In the event of the
fluctuation in charges including exchange rates, airfares, taxes and
other land arrangement costs, the total cost of the tour may be increased
without notice. The passenger agrees to pay any such increase before
departure from Australia.
shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the tours are available
as advertised but shall not be liable in any way whatsoever if a particular
tour cannot be arranged or if for any reason the number of passengers
that can be accepted for a particular tour is limited and a passenger
cannot be accepted for a particular tour.
reserves the right to cancel any departure in the event of minimum
group members not being achieved. In any such instances, passengers
will either be offered another group tour toward which all monies
paid will be credited, or travel on the same date at an increased
fare. Alternatively they may have a full refund.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
All claims for "Refund
of Money" due to cancellation of a tour by the passenger must
be made upon his/her travel insurance policy.
* The deposit payment
of AUD$600 is not refundable.
* A cancellation received
by DESTINATION MANAGEMENT in writing between 60 days and 50 days prior to
departure, will be given a refund of 50% of the total tour package price
from DESTINATION MANAGEMENT.
* No refund is available
from DESTINATION MANAGEMENT for any cancellation received within 50
days of departure.
The date on which DESTINATION
MANAGEMENT receives your written notification of cancellation is the
date which is deemed as your date of cancellation.
All passenger documents,
tickets and vouchers for the tour services must be sent to DESTINATION
MANAGEMENT with your letter of cancellation.
Apart from any cancellation
as above, the passenger shall not be entitled to a refund of any monies
paid by the passenger for the tour. Please note also that, except
in the case of cancellations as above:-
itineraries cannot be altered at passenger's requests, and passengers
must travel as a group whilst touring.
who do not conform to the itinerary will not be entitled to refunds
for parts of the tour missed or not used.
allowances or refunds will be made for lost or unused tickets or hotel
It is a condition of
joining this tour that all passengers take out full comprehensive
The passenger must
obtain a valid passport and the necessary tourist visae.
Baggage allowance is
a maximum of 20 kilograms per person. DESTINATION MANAGEMENT is not
responsible for luggage whilst on tour.
Accommodation is based on sharing
twin rooms unless specified otherwise. On tour programmes to Japan, rooms at some
traditional Japanese Inns, in ferry cabins and accommodation on trains is only
available on a share basis and sometimes only with 4 people per room. In some
locations single rooms do not exist.
THE TOUR PRICE DOES
Some overseas departure and
arrival taxes and airport service charges; travel insurance; charges for excess
luggage; personal services, gratuities, porterage , laundry; drinks; meals except
as specified; incidental expenses including all communication charges incurred
on passenger's behalf and travel arrangements within Australia to/from the
LAW GOVERNING CONTRACT
This contract shall
be construed in accordance with the laws for the time being in force
in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
