Frequently Asked Questions

Below are a number of questions that you may be wondering about Destination Management.
If the question that you were thinking of is not below, then please by all means contact us.
"Who is Destination Management?"
Destination Management is an international network of special interest tour operators, incentive travel organizers and primary producers of custom designed land arrangements. The corporate headquarters of Destination Management has created numerous unique journey's for organisations, clubs, societies and trade groups to many different parts of the world such as Greece, Costa Rica, England and Japan, to name just a few.
"How many people travel in each group?"
Depending upon where in the world you wish to go and what you want to do when you get there, you could have only 4 people in your group (bird watching in Costa Rica), a group of about 20 (nature in Greece) or up to 40 people going to an exhibition or on a trade group study tour. If you contract with Destination Management to create and operate a custom designed itinerary for your organization then you set the limit of how many people will be in your group. Alternatively, you can join any of the journeys that we are already going to operate in various countries on which you will travel with 10 to 30 like minded people. Average group size is 15 to 20 people.
"What makes your journey so different?"
Every Destination Management journey is designed, created and operated by our own staff and international partners. You will not find the same journeys available from your local travel agent or from any other source. Our unique itineraries include meetings with experts in their specific field (e.g. bird watching, pottery, gardens). Exclusive access "behind the scenes" where standard tours do not take you and visits to unusual places and events. Multi-lingual professional guides accompany each group where necessary and all our tours are conducted only in the English language.
"Who will I be Traveling with?"
People from all over the world are welcome to join our tours but the majority of our guests are Australian. Guests from New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, United States of America and Germany have all enjoyed traveling with us. Different tours attract different age groups but past guests ages range from as young as 19 up to 86.
"What standard of Hotels, etc, do you use?"
All our journey's are fully accommodated (no camping). Accommodation varies from one country to another but generally we provide superior tourist class or 4 Star Hotel rooms all with private facilities. Where possible we try to give you an opportunity to enjoy some cultural atmosphere by staying in charming country hotels (e.g. England), restored old mansions in tiny mountain villages (e.g. Greece), jungle lodges over looking the forest canopy (e.g. Costa Rica) and traditional architecture inns (e.g. Japan). Transportation is usually in a late model air conditioned private charter coach in which we keep about 15 seats vacant for guests to be able to move around for better vision, comfort and to socialize with other guests. In some counties, for technical reasons, we have to use river boats, small twin engine "Piper Navajo Aircraft, Trains, 4 Wheel Drive vehicles and even Mini-Buses when a big coach is simply too big for the road.
